Fuze and Miden Partner to Pioneer Privacy-First Blockchain Infrastructure for Digital Finance in Emerging Markets
The Fuze–Miden partnership represents a major step in bringing privacy-first blockchain infrastructure to regulated finance.

One of Africa’s fastest growing financial infrastructure providers, Fuze is in partnership with a blockchain company Miden in order to develop a privacy-first blockchain platform aimed at transforming digital finance and payments. This relationship is set to enable regulated institutions to move digital value in a properly secured way while protecting customer data.

Fuze’s network of banks, fintechs, and enterprises across the Middle East and Africa alongside Miden’s advanced privacy-focused blockchain technology, is targeted at solving privacy which is recognized as one of the primary challenges to institutional blockchain adoption.

Azeem Khan Co-founder of Miden, highlighted that the infrastructure has to integrate operational control and privacy to address the practical demands of institutions and regulators in order for digital assets to develop beyond testing requirements.

However, for the CEO of Fuze,  Mohammed Ali Yusuf, the major challenge in integrating blockchain into financial services lies in balancing privacy, interoperability, and compliance. He further added that Fuze's regional distribution network and Miden's technology work together to provide a solid foundation for acceptance in emerging areas.

The joint effort is designed to accelerate the development of regulated digital asset solutions, particularly in payments, remittances, and wealth management.

In move to address the privacy challenges, Miden's privacy-first architecture permits transactions to be kept private while enabling authorities to keep an eye on and enforce compliance standards through Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) regulations. It is anticipated that this balance between privacy and regulatory control would increase blockchain's viability for broader financial applications.
