NjiaPay Secures $2.1M Seed Funding to Enhance Payment Reliability and Expand Across Africa
A South African payment startup in Johannesburg, NjiaPay has raised a sum of $2.1 million in seed funding to increase the functionality of the platform to help businesses manage several payment services through a single system. The round was led by Newion Partners, a European SaaS-focused investor, with participation from other backers.
The platform was firstly created to tackle payment issues for Talk360, a popular international calling service in Africa. Talk360 has reportedly seen a 25% improvement in checkout conversion rates following the implementation of NjiaPay's system providing possible benefits of better payment routing for online firms.
According to CEO of NjiaPay, Jonatan Allback, he highlighted that;
“The investment will help ensure merchants achieve the best possible payment performance, noting that Newion’s experience in scaling B2B software businesses will be critical for NjiaPay’s next phase of growth”.
The platform makes it easy and comfortable for companies to improve transaction success rates by simplifying checkout procedures and obtaining additional insights on their payment infrastructure. The technology implements performance data from different payment channels into one dashboard and allows merchants to send transactions to the provider in order to show they are successful.
NjiaPay aims to expand its platform throughout African markets and establish itself as an essential services supplier in the region's developing fintech ecosystem thanks to recent developments in finance and the rising demand for reliable digital payments.
