Developed in partnership with fintech firm Viamobile, Kashy will enable users to make transfers, payments, top-ups, and cash withdrawals nationwide, marking a significant step in Tunisia’s digital transformation.

Tunisie Telecom, a state -owned telecom operator is diverting into the digital financial services sector through its launch of a digital mobile wallet called, Kashy. This platform is developed in partnership with Viamobile, ensuring users to make transfers, payments and cash withdrawals nationwide. 

This collaboration marks a milestone for Tunisia’s digital transformation. Through the services available on Viamobile, a Central Bank of Tunisia-approved legal payment company, Kashy is able to provide access to safe digital payment services while operating within the nation's regulatory framework.

According to the CEO of Tunisie Telecom, Lassâad Ben Dhiab, during the launch mentioned that;

“With Kashy, we aim to expand beyond connectivity and become a full-service digital operator.” The service uses the user’s mobile number as a unique identifier, ensuring a simple, fast, and secure user experience.

With hopes for wider acceptance as demand increases, Kashy will first be introduced through about 30 retail locations across the country. As digital payments continue to gain acceptance throughout the nation, the launch is in line with Tunisia's national movement toward financial inclusion and a digital economy.

The introduction of Kashy highlights Tunisie Telecom's goal to transition from a relationship provider to a provider of digital services. The company is well-positioned to gain market share in Tunisia's expanding digital economy by integrating fintech innovation with telecom infrastructure.
