UAE’s Skipr Secures $2M to Advance Sovereign AI Infrastructure, Valuation Hits $10M
An artificial intelligence firm, Skipr in Abu Dhabi has been granted a USD 2 million seed fundraising round, increasing the value of the company to USD 10 million. This investment funding is targeted towards promoting the company’s goals of developing an autonomous system that can operate safely across borders, clouds and companies by implementing sovereign AI technology.
In order to adopt self-governing, sovereign AI digital services at the national and enterprise level, Skipr has established relationships with data center partners, telecom suppliers, and cybersecurity and AI labs. It also infused trust and verification mechanisms on the platform ensuring coordination between autonomous systems.
According to Andreas Hartl, CEO of Skipr, highlighted that;
"As AI systems become autonomous and interconnected, secure AI-to-AI interoperability under sovereign control is no longer optional. We are building the trust infrastructure nations and enterprises need to deploy AI safely, confidently, and at scale," he said.
Skipr is a member of the Hub71+ Digital Assets specialist ecosystem, operating within Abu Dhabi's expanding network of technology creators and regulators, and strategic partners focusing on globally relevant digital infrastructure. The funding positions Abu Dhabi as a hub for sovereign AI innovation, aligning with the UAE’s broader strategy to lead in advanced technologies.
Skipr's seed round suggests that the race for constructing the plumbing of the autonomous AI age is well and fully under way, as sovereign AI has emerged as an important goal for governments in the Middle East and beyond.
