Zambia Joins Africa’s On-Demand Revolution with Padue’s New App
Padue, a Zambian startup has officially announced its collaboration with a global venture FasterCapital through its EquityPilot program, marking the move a significant milestone in the country’s digital innovation landscape. This partnership is aimed at supporting Paude’s launch of its all-in-one on demand services app, created to help households and businesses with approved local service providers.
As there is an increase in the usage of smartphones both in urban and rural areas, Zambia’s on-demand services industry is expected to expand to serve more users. With over 8 million smartphone consumers nationwide, Paude has the potential to grow into a significant infrastructure layer that powers reliable service access in Kitwe, Lusaka, and other major cities.
The platform is built as a single mobile application to link consumers with reliable local service providers. It will be easy and seamless for consumers to order services like cleaning, plumbing, electrical repairs, and roadside assistance, while providers receive work requests promptly. To increase consistency and credibility between customers and service providers, the platform integrates GPS-enabled service location, safe in-app payments, ratings and reviews, and continuous support at all times.
Padue in conjunction with FasterCapital will offer strategic direction, milestone acceleration and investor willingness support through the EquityPilot program. The startup has goals of attracting 50,000 consumers in its first year of company operations, as well as integrating thousands of service providers.
