Dubai-based startup Ayan has raised $599,000 in pre-seed funding to expand its platform and enter new markets.
The company secured the funding from strategic angel investors to help businesses understand how AI tools describe their products and whether their brands appear in shopping recommendations.
Ayan analyses AI-generated brand descriptions to identify gaps between a company's intended positioning and how AI assistants present it. Its platform also helps businesses adjust product pages and marketing campaigns.
Ayan says it serves more than 50 brands across the Middle East and North Africa, Europe and North America. The company plans to use the funding to expand beyond its existing markets.
The development comes as AI assistants become another channel for consumers to discover and compare products.
For Black and Brown-owned businesses, Ayan's technology addresses a specific challenge: tracking whether AI-generated recommendations accurately represent their products and make them visible to potential customers.
