Sandbox Dubai

Dubai Future Foundation has launched an AI Sandbox to help technology companies move artificial intelligence solutions beyond experimentation and into real-world deployment.

The initiative, delivered through Sandbox Dubai, will bring together startups, established technology firms and government entities, including the Dubai Center for Artificial Intelligence, to test AI applications and address regulatory challenges.

Companies will receive technical, policy and commercial support, alongside tailored regulatory guidance.

The program aims to address regulatory uncertainty, limited data access and difficulties applying existing policies to emerging technologies.

Testing will also help regulators assess risks and gather evidence to guide future policy development.

Applications are open to companies developing AI-native solutions across sectors including healthcare, education, transport, logistics, tourism, media and government services.

For Black and Brown founders building AI businesses for the Middle East and Africa, the initiative offers a route to test commercially viable products in Dubai while gaining regulatory guidance.
